    Online Beginner German: Whether you're preparing for travel, reconnecting with your roots, or simply expanding your horizons, this beginner German class is the perfect place to start. Designedespecially for adult learners, the course offers a relaxed, supportive environment. Led by a native German speaker and experienced instructor, this class combines structured lessons with real-life conversation practice. You’ll learn essential vocabulary, foundational grammar, and useful phrases to navigate everyday situations—from ordering a coffee to making small talk with ease. At Fun World Language Academy, we believe language learning should be both useful and enjoyable.   • College Planning for High School Freshmen & Sophomores...It's too Early Isn't it?

    Many parents of 9th and 10th graders want to know what lies ahead in the college planning and admissions process. The goal of this session is not to add stress, but to help you understand the process, expectations and timing so your student can make smart decisions now that will keep options open for later. This session will address how colleges evaluate applicants, academic planning during high school, extracurricular and summer activities, considerations for student-athletes, when to take standardized tests and how to prepare, and why sophomore year is important to financial aid. We’ll overview the college admissions roadmap and timeline so you know what’s ahead, and answer your questions. Pre-registration is required.

    Deciding how and when to claim Social Security is one of the most critical financial decisions a person will make in his or her lifetime. By not understanding the many complex rules surrounding Social Security, you could leave thousands of dollars on the table. In this class, you will learn when you should file for Social Security benefits? What are the advantages and disadvantages of filing at age 62 or deferring to age 70? How does the November 2015 change in the rules affect me? How can I make sure I am taking advantage of available spousal, survivor or divorced benefits? How much of my Social Security will be subject to income tax? What potential changes are in store for Social Security and how might they affect my claiming decision? These questions and many more will be answered in this very important class. No Senior/Staff Discount.

  • Family Tack Fusing Workshop

    REGISTER AS A PAIR. ADDITIONAL CHILDREN ARE PRO-RATED AT CHECKOUT. In this 2-hour glass fusing workshop, adults and children will learn the basics of glass fusing by creating one tile each (8” x 8”) that will be kiln-fired at 1400 degrees--a low temperature that allows the glass elements of your design to stay 3 dimensional. To create your composition, you will work with powders, frit, confetti, copper shapes, stringers, and glass pieces. Landscapes and flowers are popular sources of inspiration, but you are welcome to explore other ideas. Returned within 2 weeks, mounted in a white shadow box or frame, ready to be proudly displayed on a wall, a mantle or a tabletop. The workshop is open to PAIRS OF adults and children 8 and up. EXTRA KIDS PRO-RATED. No previous glass experience is necessary. Safety note: Students must wear closed toe shoes. Safety glasses will be provided.   • Let's Make Pysanky & Krapanky Eggs - Traditional AND Polka Dot

    This hands-on workshop is a delightful introduction to two beloved Ukrainian egg-decorating techniques: the Traditional Pysanky method and the playful Krapanky (Polka Dot) style. We'll begin with the world of Krapanky, using special tools to apply wax dots and patterns—simple yet beautiful. Then we’ll shift into the traditional wax-resist method, using a kistka (stylus), melted beeswax, and a rainbow of dyes to create symbolic folk designs. This class is perfect for both beginners and returning Pysanky makers. By the end, you’ll have two finished eggs and a deeper appreciation for this meaningful folk art. All materials are provided, including emptied and cleaned chicken eggs, beeswax, and high-quality dyes. Children ages 5+ are welcome to attend when accompanied by an adult.

Are my assets protected if I put them in a trust? When is long-term care insurance worthwhile to consider? What if my loved one is already in a nursing home, can they still protect their assets?   • Moravian Star Ornaments

    Join us to make beautiful three-dimension stars. These stars, which can be made in various sizes from 2” to 4, make wonderful tree ornaments or can be used in other displays. Moravian stars are well known throughout Scandinavia and Germany as well as other cultures. There are many stories about the origin of these stars, but regardless of their origin, they are fun to make! After some simple folding and weaving proficiency is acquired, making them can be relaxing and mesmerizing. Laura Sprung will demonstrate how to carefully fold strips of paper to create these beautiful stars.

The class will also focus on the home selling process from beginning to end including the offer process and negotiating techniques.
  • Rise & Shine Yoga with Kelly

    Start your weekends off right with Rise & Shine Yoga. This one-hour class combines deep stretching, muscle strengthening, balance, and vinyasa flow. The class guides you through smooth, safe movements purposefully designed to loosen up those tight muscles, melt away stress, and rejuvenate your body. Participants do not need prior yoga experience. Please bring your own mat. Yoga blocks are highly recommended and will be provided. Available in person or by Google Meet.
  • SAT: Math Review

    The goal of this course is to practice the types of questions that will be asked on the SAT and practice test-taking strategies designed to raise students' scores. Students will learn about time management and the benefits of taking an educated guess. Last, students will review skills learned in prior or current math classes and the best way to approach the exam based on their individual skills. As students become more familiar with the test and practice test-taking strategies, their confidence and scores are sure to grow! Students MUST respond to the survey sent in the week prior to taking the course in order to incorporate appropriate practice problems in the class - their intended test-taking dates will inform the level of paper-based and/ or computer-based practice problems used in the class. Additionally, students should bring a computer to each class with the SAT Bluebook Application downloaded prior to the first class, and bring the graphing calculator they will use on test day.

  • Sudbury Valley New Horizons Music

Haven’t played your trumpet (flute, clarinet, violin, cello…) in 30 years? We have some members who came back to their instruments after 50 and 60 and even 70 years of not playing!     Learn the tips and tricks and how to create professional-looking cookies! Make royal icing and learn several decorating techniques including flooding and wet on wet designs. Using sugar cookies baked ahead of time, or store bought, we'll create puffed designs, patterns, and holiday designs. $12 additional fee to be paid to Adrienne at the class, which includes all decorating ingredients.
