    Charcuterie Tray Workshop: Creating a Colorful & Delicious Display

    Learn how to create a beautiful charcuterie tray that is perfect for any occasion! During this one-night, interactive class we will go over how to select and beautifully present the perfect combination of cheese, meat, and other flavor complements such as fruit, spreads, nuts, crackers, and dried fruit. You will watch a presentation and then make your own unique small tray (4-6 person) by practicing and selecting from different charcuterie food stations. $40 additional fee to be paid to Adrienne at the class includes all food along with a disposable tray for easy transportation home.   • Emerson, Shakespeare, and the Art of Being a Person

    Ralph Waldo Emerson wrote of Shakespeare: “He is inconceivably wise. With this wisdom of life is the equal endowment of imaginative and of lyric power. An omnipresent humanity coordinates all his faculties. He is strong, as nature is strong.” In three lecture-discussion sessions we will explore the thoughts and admonitions left for us by these two authors. We will evaluate which of their practical ideas are useful and which are outdated in our own life experience.

  • Jewelry Basics: Lampwork Bead Valentine Earrings

    Lampwork beads are handmade by blowing and shaping molten glass over and through a torch, using tools and hand movements to form amazing and intricate designs. This glasswork technique is alive with mesmerizing colors and fascinating details. Beads produced in this fashion make excellent focal points in necklaces, bracelets, and earrings.   • Kitchen Remodel Workshop

    Have an idea for a kitchen remodel but need some insight? Local kitchen and bath designer Mary Regan will help you workshop your ideas. She’ll review your plans ahead of time, then help figure out next steps from lighting and cabinet types to countertop materials. Mary will share her ideas from her years of experience designing kitchens. Time will be allowed for questions about your specific project.

    Learn to knit mitered squares while making a lovely blanket. This is the perfect project for using yarns you may have in stash. Using scrap yarns (bring what you have), learn mitered squares and how to pick up stitches to join the squares.     Continuation of Beginner Course - For people who have been taught the game or who have played within the past year Mah Jong is a tile-based game that was developed in the 19th century in China and has spread throughout the world. It is a fun game of strategy, quick thinking, and luck, relatively easy to learn, and rewarding to play for years to come. This class is meant to extend the knowledge of the game for those who've learned to play recently, or who've been playing within the past year and want to take their game up to the next level. In our 4 sessions together you will learn techniques for picking hands, playing defensively, switching hands, joker bait strategies, and how to score games, among other tips and tricks.   • Not Your Average Paint Class: Gal/Guy/Pal/Valentine’s Day! – TikTok’s Canvas Swap Challenge

    Participants will pair up and take turns painting on each other’s canvas. Each person has 10 minutes to add to the painting. Once the 10 minutes are up, you’ll switch with your buddy and you’ll have another 10 minutes to add to each other’s paintings. The painting will constantly be changing, so you never know what it’s going to turn out like in the end! This challenge is a great fun activity to do with your significant other, best friend, sisters/brothers, roommate, it doesn’t matter so long as you have someone to swap with. If you’re stuck and cannot find someone, but still want to participate, sign up as an individual and we’ll pair you up with someone that night. This is a great way to meet new members of the community! No experience needed. All materials included!

    Once your manuscript is finished, comes the next and often hardest step, getting your work published. This hour-long course with Leta Serafim will outline the various options available from writing query letters to agents and publishers to signing on with self-publishing companies like Ingram-Sparks. She will provide an overview of the industry today and give you her recommendations as to how best to negotiate this every changing field and avoid the expensive mistakes many first-time authors make.

    Private music lessons enable participants to grow musically at an individual pace, study advanced techniques on their instruments and begin to express themselves through improvisation. Lessons are given in 8-week sessions in your choice of format: in-person or online. Lessons take place after school, weekday evenings or Saturday mornings.
