Fall Guided Walk: Saxonville Area of Framingham - A New England Mill Village
This course is a guided walking tour of the history of the Saxonville area in Framingham from pre-European native peoples through immigration of people from Europe through the 1970's. Attendees will learn of the native peoples' use of the river and the falls and they will see the site of their village. They will learn about mill operations and what working for the mill was like. The currents of history will become clear in understanding how the mill village operated. Participants will be walking approximately 1.5 miles on some uneven surfaces.

At the highest vantage point on the Sudbury portion of Nobscot Hill, Tippling Rock offers a breathtaking view of surrounding Metrowest landmarks. Along the way, the trail provides a unique look into local habitats and plants, as well as Native American and Colonial history. Limit 12 people.

Introduction to Forest Bathing: Wellness Naturally – More than a Walk in the Woods
Enjoy the community and camaraderie created while learning the practice of forest-bathing, and feel the joy and awe of the natural world and fall colors emerging during this 4-week series. Each class will consist of a series of gentle activities (invitations) that allow participants to use their 5-senses to engage with nature. This is wellness naturally–more than a walk in the woods. It has the health benefits of mindfulness and supports the immune system and variable heart rate. This is not a physically-demanding class. Class activities are low-impact and slow-paced and cover short distances.

Fall Guided Walk: Mt. Misery Landscape & History
This guided walk will be led by Ron McAdow, author of Imagining the Past at Mount Misery. The group will walk 2.3 miles through the Mount Misery Conservation Land in Lincoln. The route will include moderate gradients. Participants will learn about the colonial-era sawmill, the ice-age land-forms, the visits of Henry Thoreau, the ponds, and the Sudbury River.
