Snowflake Craft: Wheat Straw Decoration

WHEAT STRAW DECORATION 

This workshop offers a festive and creative experience for all. You will learn how to create beautiful wheat straw snowflake decorations, perfect for Christmas trees, window ornaments, Christmas cards, or gifts.

Each participant will take home a set of 3-6 wheat straw snowflakes.

Materials included:
-wheat straw - colored and natural colors
-straw splitters
-star mold sets
-threads
-needle
-scissors
-glue
-beads
-paper bags
-examples and paper materials such as photos and instructions

Alona Popova

Alona is a Pysanky artist passionate about preserving the rich tradition of Ukrainian egg decorating. Born and raised in Ukraine, she is dedicated to safeguarding and sharing this cultural heritage in its modern form. As an experienced instructor, Alona has taught Pysanky at community educational centers, Ukrainian schools, and the Ukrainian cultural center. She actively researches Pysanky history, explores natural dyes, and incorporates techniques from contemporary Pysanky artists in Ukraine and beyond. Her workshops welcome participants of all skill levels to discover the beauty and wonder of this cherished art form.
