Family Tack Fusing Workshop
Creative & Culinary Arts
REGISTER AS A PAIR. ADDITIONAL CHILDREN ARE PRO-RATED AT CHECKOUT. In this 2-hour glass fusing workshop, adults and children will learn the basics of glass fusing by creating one tile each (8” x 8”) that will be kiln-fired at 1400 degrees--a low temperature that allows the glass elements of your design to stay 3 dimensional. To create your composition, you will work with powders, frit, confetti, copper shapes, stringers, and glass pieces. Landscapes and flowers are popular sources of inspiration, but you are welcome to explore other ideas. Returned within 2 weeks, mounted in a white shadow box or frame, ready to be proudly displayed on a wall, a mantle or a tabletop. The workshop is open to PAIRS OF adults and children 8 and up. EXTRA KIDS PRO-RATED. No previous glass experience is necessary. Safety note: Students must wear closed toe shoes. Safety glasses will be provided.
