The instructor will provide an overview of the industry today and give her recommendations as to how best to negotiate this ever-changing field and avoid the expensive mistakes many first-time authors make. Information about AI scams targeting writers will also be discussed.
Serafim is the author of the Greek Island Mystery series as well as the historical novel, To Look on Death No More, based on events in Greece during World War II. She also wrote Molly Saw a Bear, a picture book for children. A former journalist, she worked for the Washington Post and the Los Angeles Times Washington Bureau. She won the Eric Hoffer prize for her first book, The Devil Takes Half.
