Peter has 35+ years of conservation experience, much of it in South and Central Asia. He is on the IUCN Cat Specialist Group, sits on the IUCN Red List Assessment Committee for snow leopards (that determines its global status), runs the Sabin Snow Leopard Grants Program, supports a snow leopard conservation initiative in Mongolia, and supervises a major conservation program in the mountains of Pakistan that includes snow leopard work. He has also published numerous peer-review articles and book chapters on snow leopards.
