Musical Theatre College Pathways


High School & College Planning -
Fall 26/Winter 27

This class is designed to educate parents and student-performers in theatre, voice, and dance of all abilities and ambitions about the various performing arts options available to them in college. Discussion will include the roles that performing arts can play in the college years; how to decide between a BFA (Bachelor’s in Fine Arts) and a BA and the admission process, information about non-BFA programs and the schools that offer them, student run productions and ensembles, and how to determine the right college theatre environment for you and more.

Jim Giebutowski

Jim is an Independent educational consulting focused on college admissions for all academic disciplines, with specializations in the performing arts, business, and engineering. He is an Associate Member of the Independent Educational Consulting Association and hold an MBA from Harvard Business School.
