Genealogy 101: Researching Your Family History
Join us at the Sudbury History Center and Museum in town center for a workshop on tips and tricks for genealogical research! Have you ever wanted to get started on your family tree? Stuck on researching a specific ancestor? A professional archivist will guide this workshop with helpful hints and answer any research questions. We will review useful online resources for information finding and have brief tutorials on searching for public records on websites such as Ancestry and FamilySearch, as well as the new Sudbury Historical Society Collections Online. We will also discuss how to best leverage the free resources available to you nearby in local archives, libraries, and museums. Bringing a laptop to the session is highly recommended, but not necessary. If you have already started your genealogical journey, be sure to bring your notes to the workshop for a more personalized experience.

Long-term Care & Asset Protection
Invest and Plan
The high cost of long-term care can wipe out a family’s life savings in a short period of time. Unfortunately, many families are faced with this situation, finding themselves at the mercy of an under-funded government Medicaid system with limited choices. Recent legislative changes have created many questions surrounding planning techniques: How can I protect my home? What is the penalty for giving assets away? Are my assets protected if I put them in a trust? When is long-term care insurance worthwhile to consider? What if my loved one is already in a nursing home, can they still protect their assets? All of these questions and more will be clearly answered in this very important class. NO DISCOUNTS.
