Hosted by the non-profit Sudbury Historical Society (SHS). Learn about the initial settlement of Sudbury in 1638 by the British Colonists. This session is designed as an in-depth look at how Sudbury came to be established, and the broader context of how settling New England happened through the Puritan ethos of hardwork, piety, and community. The course will consist of a lecture, followed by the opportunity to visit the Sudbury Historical Society’s History Center and Museum and tour the Baggott Gallery’s exhibition on Sudbury’s History.
