Learn To Play Mah Jongg - Beginners

Play a Game -
FALL 25/26

FOR BEGINNERS OR THOSE WITH SOME PLAYING EXPERIENCE

Learn the American version of Mah Jongg! It’s an ancient Chinese tile game of skill and chance, for all ages, in the Rummy family, and is typically played with four people. The game is sociable, competitive, exciting and addictive, one that improves your memory and it’s lots of fun.

In this class, you will learn what the tiles are and how to play the game using many strategies. Most people are able to play at any American Mah Jongg table after completing this class. Once you've learned the rules, the possibility to excel is limitless and no two games are ever the same.

Players will need to supply their own 2025 playing card, purchased only through the National Mah Jongg League.

https://www.nationalmahjonggleague.org/store.aspx#. Please order well in advance of the start of the class. Cards are $15 for the larger print and $14 for small print.
