Join us at the Sudbury History Center and Museum in town center for a workshop on tips and tricks for genealogical research! Have you ever wanted to get started on your family tree? Stuck on researching a specific ancestor? A professional archivist will guide this workshop with helpful hints and answer any research questions. We will review useful online resources for information finding and have brief tutorials on searching for public records on websites such as Ancestry and FamilySearch, as well as the new Sudbury Historical Society Collections Online.
We will also discuss how to best leverage the free resources available to you nearby in local archives, libraries, and museums.
Bringing a laptop to the session is highly recommended, but not necessary. If you have already started your genealogical journey, be sure to bring your notes to the workshop for a more personalized experience.
