You will create the tree with boughs of fresh boxwood and then decorate the tree with ornaments, bows, garlands, lights, etc. The trees make a great gift or can be used to add some holiday cheer in your own home! First, learn how to design and decorate your own holiday wreath and then stay to make an elegant miniature boxwood tree centerpiece! Two holiday decor items in one class!

The Krapanky - Polka Dot Egg workshop, where you'll be introduced to the traditional wax-resist method of coloring eggs, as we explore various tools and techniques to adorn eggs with wax dots. Using real chicken eggs, melted beeswax, and vibrant color dyes, participants will create stunning polka dot designs. Perfect for children as young as 5 years old, kids are encouraged to join accompanied by adults.

Private music lessons enable participants to grow musically at an individual pace, study advanced techniques on their instruments and begin to express themselves through improvisation. Lessons are given in 8-week sessions in your choice of format: in-person or online. Lessons take place after school, weekday evenings or Saturday mornings. Before registering, please send us an email at adult.ed@lsrhs.net to determine the availability of the instructor. There is a $30 administrative fee per 8-week session. A portion of the administrative fee will be donated to LS Friends of Music. No Senior/Staff Discount. We offer private music lessons in: Cello, Clarinet, Drum set, Euphonium, Flute, Guitar, Marimba, Oboe, Percussion, Piano, Saxophone, Song Writing, String Bass, Trombone, Trumpet, Tuba, Viola, Violin, Voice. Learn the tips and tricks and how to create professional-looking cookies! Make royal icing and learn several decorating techniques including flooding and wet on wet designs. Using sugar cookies baked ahead of time, or store bought, we'll create puffed designs, patterns, and holiday designs. $12 additional fee to be paid to Adrienne at the class, which includes all decorating ingredients. This is a fun teenage and parent/child class too! PLEASE BRING A COVERED TRAY TO BRING YOUR COOKIES TO CLASS AND CARRY HOME DECORATED COOKIES.

Tie Dye pysanky egg workshop, where you'll be introduced to the wax-resist method of decorating pysanky eggs, as well as explore various colors and their combination for the dyeing process. Using real chicken eggs, "kistka" tools, beeswax, candles, and vibrant color dyes, participants will create stunning tie-dye designs. Kids are encouraged to join, accompanied by adults. At the end, you will be able to take home one or two eggs decorated by you.
